Job searching? Need to keep job and career-related communications in one place? Create an email that is used ONLY for career search comms to keep your private email uncluttered. It’s OK to create a Hotmail, Yahoo, or AOL email address – Gmail doesn’t have any more or less elan than these alternatives.

Note that YAHOO and Hotmail have a tendency to push many unrecognized (professional) emails into the spam folder(s).

Do not use your educational school email for a job search – once you graduate that email disappears and you won’t be able to receive comms from future employers.
